Itchin' for some new music

Since my favorite band has been keeping me in suspense for far to long about when a new album will arrive and since I have been getting bored with all my music, I am on a hunt for some great new bands. Any suggestions? My music taste varies, but I always come back to my love of folky vocals and amazing guitar. Throw in some violin and I am in heaven. I have also been digging Australian singers/bands lately. So once again, any suggestions?

And if you hear when Band of Horses plans on dropping their next album let me know. :) Here is a picture of the lead singer at a live show. I wasn't close enough to the stage to get a good picture at Bumbershoot, so this one I stole from their myspace page will have to do.

New Music Recommendation

Rosi Golan's The Drifter and The Gypsy has been the only thing playing out of my iTunes/iPhone all week.  Her voice is gorgeous.  You might recognize her song Shine from a shampoo commercial.  The upbeat little tune puts me in a great mood every time it plays.

Here is one of my favorites (amongst tough competition).  Hazy  featuring William Fitzsimmons.

I <3 The Weepies

I am so thankful I got introduced to The Weepies. I love their music. My favorite songs from their three albums are (in no specific order):

Take It From Me- Say I Am You
Gotta Have You- Say I Am You
Nobody Knows Me at All- Say I Am You

Somebody Loved- Happiness

Hideaway- Hideaway
Orbiting- Hideaway
Takes So Long- Hideaway

What's sad is I could probably write down all the songs from their three albums (minus one that comes to mind), because I love them so much.

Cold War Kids

Last night I went to the Cold War Kids concert at the Wonder Ballroom. Here are some pics:
